Base to Base Gondola

Largo recently completed work at the Base to Base Gondola in Alpine, CA.
The gondola will give patrons access to two world class resorts by connecting the Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw Valley) and Alpine Meadows. 55 carriers will hold up to eight passengers each and will be able to transport 1,400 people per hour along the 16-minute course. Riders will also have the option to disembark at the KT-22 ridge terminal at an elevation of 8,070 feet. The concrete scope included foundations and slab on grade for the two lift plazas. 15,000sf of avalanche mitigation retaining walls were also constructed using shotcrete.
