One of the many nonprofit organizations that Largo Concrete is proud to support is Habitat for Humanity, an organization that works to build homes and create stable communities across the world while bringing together countless volunteers. Largo recognizes the importance of affordable housing and was one of many companies participating in the Habitat for Humanity Home Builders Blitz in LA, a group of contractors and subcontractors coming together to build homes for families in need. With many projects in the Los Angeles area, Largo has seen and contributed to community growth over the years and is grateful to be a part of a team aiming to provide homes to four local families in just 11 days. Largo poured the structural concrete for this project and worked alongside top construction companies Clark Construction and the Turner Construction Company. This project has brought together enough donations of money, materials, and labor to provide each family with a three-bedroom, two-story home which includes environmentally friendly features. All four families are first time homeowners and this project allowed them the opportunity to move out of a one-bedroom apartment and into a safer community. Each family stayed involved throughout the process, which resulted in not only giving them a home, but granted them with safety, independence, and a better future for their children.
