Intuit Dome Wins American Concrete Council Award

The Intuit Dome won the prestigious Pankow Award from the American Concrete Institute at the annual awards banquet this month.

Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA is designed to maximize the Fan experience and deliver the most intense home-court-advantage for the Los Angeles Clippers. The development includes the immersive 17,700-seat arena, 157,000sf of training, medical and team operations office space, and a 130,000sf Entrance Plaza. Crossing the steel and concrete bridge over Prairie Ave. to the west, a Grand Stair entrance leads to the bandshell with a 40ft tall by 70ft wide screen, three buildings for restaurants, bars, and team stores, and public art exhibits. Inside elements that create an unmatched live event experience include The Wall with 51 uninterrupted rows of seats for 4,500 fans to sit adjacent to the visiting team’s bench for maximum intimidation. With 1,160 toilets, and seamless food and beverage stations the Intuit Dome is designed to keep fans in their seats and part of the action.  To top it off, there is a 20,000sf rooftop concourse with interactive skills stations. The 27ft tall, 38,375sf, continuous double-sided “Halo” display board equipped with more than 233 million LEDs provides a unique digital experience for the fans.
