The layout division is responsible for researching and physically marking the exact locations of all cast-in-place elements. The layout division works with the VDC department to confirm that what is shown on the shop drawings and BIM model is installed correctly in the field. The layout teams also work with the QA/QC department to ensure that the final concrete product is installed correctly the first time.  Largo uses Trimble X7 3D scanners, Leica manual and robotic total-station surveyors and extensive checklists to verify that the formwork, reinforcing, embeds, and all building systems are in the correct locations prior to pouring concrete. 3D scanning the finished product verifies soffits are graded correctly, measures wall and column verticality, and monitors for deck deflection and post-tensioning effects.
