350 Cubic Yard Vertical Pour at Vesper

On November 8, Largo completed a 350 cubic yard vertical concrete pour at the Vesper project in the historic Rainey District in Austin, Texas. The pour represented the first lift of the core shear walls at the base for the planned 41 story residential high rise.
The 18ft tall walls range in thickness from 3.5ft to 4ft with 36 tons of reinforcing. The 150 lineal feet of walls were formed on both sides and one 39M truck mounted boom worked for nearly six hours to pump the 12,000psi mix. In addition to the pump operators the pour employed three pairs of workers running high cycle vibrators for the duration of the event.
